Porta Nuova

Porta Nuova is one of the largest European completed mixed-use urban redevelopments in a historical city centre. Located in the northern part of Milano city centre, Italy's most well-connected transportation hub, Porta Nuova includes 140,000 sqm of office space, located in high-rise as well as low-rise buildings that are the heart of what has become the most modern Milano business district with over 400 high-end residential units and 40,000 sqm of retail and cultural venues. Porta Nuova hosts 160,000 sqm of integrated public squares, open spaces, gardens and parks. This iconic mixed-use development has changed Milano's skyline and registers visits by more than 10 million people every year.

Feltrinelli Foundation
& Microsoft House

Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation & Microsoft House is the first Italian building designed by Herzog & de Meuron. With interiors by COIMA Image for Feltrinelli and DEGW for Microsoft Italy, its innovative spaces are opened to companies, students and citizens, with many public places including a café, integrated multi-use cultural spaces, a linear green park and a play area for children. Feltrinelli Foundation & Microsoft House is a vibrant landmark between the iconic Porta Nuova district and the Milano city centre and represents an innovative civic project, giving back a redeveloped, usable and living environment which functions as the perfect combination of cultural and technological hub to and for the city.
